Starting with the company with the highest of quality design for their own website, Poppen Design is a great Saskatoon web design company that appears to have an in-depth knowledge of modern CSS3 techniques. With subtle shadows, a fixed header and a clever pull-down quote form, they have done a great job integrating components to their site without a lot of clutter. All of their prior projects appear to incorporate the same great use of white-space and elegant font selection that we see on their own site.
The only downside to these guys is their incorporation of web hosting as part of their services offering. Since hosting requires a skillset quite different from that of web design, we tend to often frown upon companies that try to do both. Typically design companies don’t offer high-quality hosting like that of a dedicated provider.
Wild Peek Design
Wild Peek is an example of a web design agency in transition. Their portfolio describes a number of companies with less modern designs than even their own website and in multiple examples we can see the use of the same template with just slight variations in colour. That said their own website shows some newer technology in action with a Javascript slider found in their menu system.
